Can I write weekend reading minutes on my child's homework?
- Yes! I encourage it! Since there are no designated spots for weekend days, please write it in on the sides or on a weekday slot. I am looking for 100 total minutes most weeks, so that can be done in one day or spread out throughout the week. I encourage 20 minutes a night because it allows a child to get in the habit of reading daily. What types of reading can I record for minutes read? - Any! You may have your child read by themselves, listen to an audiobook in the car, watch a book on Tumblebooks, or read with your child. Any type of reading is beneficial to your child's learning!

Field day is coming up on September 29th! Please contact me if you would like to volunteer to help with this fun event. Additionally, this will be the same day as the Homecoming parade up on the hill so it will be a half day!
Don't forget- make sure your child comes in clothes they can run and play in! Also, wear lots of sunscreen since we will be outside for a good amount of the day. :) |
